Concentrator Board for FERS-5200

Concentrator board for multi-board management in FERS-5200, the CAEN platform for the readout of large arrays of detectors (SiPMs, MA-PMTs, Gas Tubes, Si detectors, …).
Scalability: from a single standalone FERS unit for prototyping to many thousands of channels, with a simple tree network structure based on TDlink, CAEN’s proprietary protocol running over optical fibers via SFP transceivers.
Modularity: multiple FERS units can be distributed over large detector volumes and managed by a single Concentrator board. 8× TDlink ports for event data building, processing and formatting.
Easy sync: a single TDlink port handles data readout, slow control and board synchronization simultaneously.
Multi-concentrator setups: multiple DT5215 units can be connected in a Master/Slave topology for large-scale acquisition systems.
External timing integration: the DT5215 can be synchronized with CAEN Digitizers 1.0 (via A321A cable) and Digitizers 2.0 (via A321B cable), as well as GPS receivers for absolute UTC time reference.
Available also in single TDlink version (DT5216), supporting up to 8 FERS units in daisy chain.
